Mark Hatfield, a retired software engineer, has transitioned into the world of photography and videography, where he captures the essence of his surroundings through both still and moving images. Specializing in travel, active lifestyles, urban environments, industrial settings, and still life, Mark brings a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of his subjects. His ability to convey the energy of active lifestyles, the complexity of urban landscapes, and the unique features of industrial spaces showcases his versatility as a visual storyteller. Skilled in drone photography, Mark uses aerial perspectives to craft striking compositions. In the studio, he excels at manipulating light to create visually compelling compositions.

Mark recently completed his Master of Arts in Photography in December 2024. He will begin his Master of Fine Arts in Motion Pictures and Television in February 2025, further expanding his expertise in the realm of visual storytelling.

Mark grew up in the Pacific Northwest in Washington state. He was active in outdoor sports including hiking, biking, and canoeing adventures through Boy Scouts. Mark continues to enjoy the outdoors with mountain biking, hiking, running, swimming, and other outdoor pursuits involving water or mountains.
